Clinical Data Management

The Clinical Data Management organization within a biotech/pharmaceutical/medical device company holds the overall responsibility of collecting data from the clinical trials and ensuring its accuracy, reliability and availability. They oversee the development of data collection tools to ensure that the data supports the efficacy and safety conclusions that are drawn from the clinical trial.

Clinical Data Management organizations are comprised of people with titles such as: Manager/Director of Clinical Data Management; Clinical Data Manager I, II; Senior/Principal Clinical Data Manager; Clinical Data Associate/Coordinator/Analyst.
